Financials

SVHF distributes millions of dollars in grant funding to Sonoma Valley Hospital. Grants are primarily for capital needs such as the new diagnostic center, recent 3rd floor renovations, and small equipment replacement, but also include funds for Project Pink and SVH staff education and career advancement.

I had a lot of excuses for not pursuing my advanced degree in nursing. I work in a place that is supportive of my desire to learn more,

and once I realized staff grants are available from the Hospital Foundation I was out of excuses—and now I’m finishing my degree this year. Your support has made me a better nurse. Thank you!

I’m always amazed at how our community supports SVH.

The engagement and generosity of our donors is amazing. This kind of support creates sustainability for our hospital so we can serve our community well.

The Foundation grants give the opportunity to learn more and educate yourself so you can do more for our patients.

I’m grateful for the Foundation’s support of my continued education.

Patient Access Manager, SVH Employee 11 years

I’m grateful to our community for their generous support in providing us with the 3-D mammography machine, which our patients appreciate and benefit from.

Our Project Pink Program is another example of the generosity of donors among us, providing free mammograms for those who are uninsured or underinsured and giving them the care and peace of mind that they deserve.

Mammography Technologist, 20 years at SVH

There was a clear, loud, enthusiastic statement from our community about how much they value our hospital as an important resource.

The many people that contributed to the parcel tax effort and the ~80% affirmative vote says it all.

Philanthropy has been decisive and necessary in providing our hospital facility with the capabilities to serve the community.

The ER and Surgical Suites, the new Diagnostic Center— SVH does not have the ability to fund these needs without community support and we are grateful.

SVH District Board Member, Supporter

Donor support has been critical to the survival and enhancement of our hospital–the new wing and diagnostic center are examples.

The Foundation continually engages with the members of our community so they can understand how important SVH is even when not using the ER or other services.

Ambassador Supporter, Former SVH District Board Chair

Having a facility this sophisticated in Sonoma is a pure gift.

The professionalism of our hospital’s staff and executives is first class, and the ER is a confidence builder for our Valley and everyone who lives here. We are one lucky community.
