Blood Pressure Management Is Topic Of Next SVH Conversation With A Doctor Talk

Sonoma Valley Hospital’s Conversation With A Doctor series kicks off the new year with a discussion about blood pressure management and its effect on heart health.

As part of his talk, “Understanding Your Heart Health, New Guidelines In Blood Pressure Management.” SVH Medical Director of Cardiopulmonary, Alex Rainow, MD, will address a number of topics related to blood pressure management including lifestyle, medications, known risk factors, and a spotlight on how to lower high blood pressure without medication.

The talk, which includes a question-and-answer period, will be held Tuesday, February 12 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, in the Hospital’s Basement Conference Room, 347 Andrieux St. in Sonoma. The number of attendees will be limited to allow for informal discussion and audience questions, so RSVPs are requested. Dr. Rainow is a cardiologist who specializes in clinical cardiology. He completed his Fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Prior to coming to Sonoma he was a partner in Heartwell LLP, which is a part of Baptist Health (Miami, FL). He now serves as Medical Director of Cardiopulmonary for Sonoma Valley Hospital and is with Sonoma Cardiology.
